Preventive Care & Wellness Checks
A full physical exam for each of your horses, performed once a year, is vital to each individual animal’s overall health. Our preventive care includes not only a full physical exam, but also dental checks and floats; fecal egg counts and deworming as needed; and keeping your horses on a regular vaccine schedule. If we ask for a stool sample for a fecal egg count, it must be fresh (within 24 hours) and kept cool until it can be examined.
We also utilize a direct capture radiography machine, which allows us to take and view X-rays directly in the field. This allows us to diagnose internal organs, teeth and joints, and check for lameness or other musculoskeletal problems.
Humboldt Veterinary Clinic also provides a full range of reproductive services and care for horses, as well as nutritional counseling, surgery and emergency care.
Equine Chiropractic Medicine
